Alan Garcia and His Strange Ending

Hi everyone! Yesterday I went to see a movie called "Vivo o Muerto." It's about the mysterious death of Alan García, who was once the President of Peru. The movie caught all my attention because it suggests that Dr. García MIGHT STILL HE ALIVE!!, despite being known as very clever and that there are many things that just don't add up. 

Who Was Alan García? 

I'm pretty sure you don't know this ex-president, but Alan García was an important political leader in Peru, serving as president twice from 1985 to 1990 and again from 2006 to 2011. He was well-known for his powerful speeches. However, his time in politics was also filled with controversy, like accusations of corruption. His life ended on April 17 of 2019, when he shot himself as police came to arrest him in a big corruption case, "Lava Jato Case". 

The Mystery Around García's Death 

Although it was said that García killed himself, many people think there could be more to the story. They believe someone as clever as he might have faked his own death to escape his problems. This interesting idea is what the movie "Vivo o Muerto," which means "Alive or Dead," is all about. 

"Vivo o Muerto": The Movie 

The movie started showing in Peru on April 18 of 2024. It looks into the strange events surrounding García's supposed suicide. The film is based on a book by journalist José Vásquez and follows a made-up reporter, Carmen Ríos, who tries to find out the real story behind García's death. It quickly became the most popular movie of the year in Peru! 

How People Reacted to the Movie 

On its first day, "Vivo o Muerto" was a big hit, more than 40,000 viewers goes to the cinema! This shows how much people are still interested in Alan García and the mysteries of his death. The movie made people think about how stories are told and how we see public figures. 

Truth or Fiction?

    I don't know too much about Peruvian politics. I don't know anything about it for that matter. I know the names Alan Garcia and Alberto Fujimori but not the significance. Your article makes me interested in reading more about this. Doing a bit of research, it seems like quite the rabbit-hole. I'm definitely going to check this story out.
