Entry #5 - Allstate Mayhem commercial

Hey guys!

So, I chose this Mayhem ad to talk about today because it's just so funny and full of surprises. Let's get into it and see what's happening in the ad.

We start with a boy trying to ask his girlfriend to prom in a big way. He's got candles lit and everything. It's supposed to be super romantic. But then, Mayhem, the guy in the commercials who's always in troubles He says, "And tonight, sparks are gonna fly." And wow, do they fly! Not the good kind of sparks, though. The candles start a fire!

This ad is funny because it goes from a sweet moment to a big mess so fast. Stacey’s dad isn’t happy, coming out with a fire extinguisher. You can hear him say, "DARN IT, KYLE!" like this kind of stuff happens a lot. The boy is super sorry, but this doesn't turn off the fire lol.

Allstate is saying that crazy things can happen any time. But if you have Allstate, you won't have to worry about paying for these messes. It's smart because it makes you think about being safe, really its a nice commercial for a insurance!

I like how the ad tells a story and makes us feel like we're right there, watching the whole thing happen. It's funny, it's a little bit crazy, and it's really smart.

That's all for today! What's your favorite Mayhem commercial? Let me know in the comments! Oh, and don't forget to contract Allstate insurance :)

  1. Hi Diego! This was such an hilarious advertisement to blog about! You explained very well in detail about the situation. I agree with the ad making us feel like were right there. I think my favorite Mayhem commercial is when he's acting like a teenger girl driving in a pink truck. Overall, Great job!

  2. Allstate has used the trend of the pressures that teens feel these days to have Promposals that are unique to connect to their own message.
